The one of the most popular hiking route in Norway. You can easily notice that the path is filled with people. What is more, you can feel like in the middle of small town. It can be said that there are too many people but the way is really nice and the views compensate everything. Unfortunately, it is worse when you come to the end of your way after about 11 km. If you decided to come back on the same day you need to consider waiting in the huge queue to take some photos on the rock (like about 1 hour – friend’s experience). In my opinion, it is worth to carrying all your equipment and stay there overnight (amazing experiences guaranteed). The way is not difficult, maybe except the first part, but quite long so you need to start it in the morning. The best option to get here (at beginning of the footpath), if you do not have a car, is local bus/taxi from Odda. The last thing is weather which can easily change, like in the mountains, so make sure that you are well prepared for any occasion.
