Hello,

I'm Ola!
As a human-centred designer driven by a desire to make the world around us more equal, collaborative, and sustainable,
I design with and for people. In my practice, I use co-design methods to engage with people so together we can develop public services that work in an inclusive, simple and seamless way, so users can meet their needs by achieving their goals, and thus our service can thrive. I believe that together we can drive social change and contribute to more sustainable futures.

As a service designer, I work for the Scottish Government Social Security Directorate. Currently, my work focuses on disability benefits services. Through mapping end-to-end holistic service journeys and collaborating with different practitioners, I have been supporting the design and development of the service to ensure that business requirements and user needs are being met as well as any gaps and opportunities for the service's continuous improvement are being identified. I also contribute to the development of collaborative ways of working within our teams. By providing support to my peers and reviewing our ways of working and methods, I contribute to the development of our service design community and profession.

Outside of work, I am looking for hiking or backpacking adventures and outdoor activities. I love to share stories and whisky drams with people and learn more about history, different cultures, and experiences. I also do outdoor adventure photography, woodworking, and I try to have
a sustainable and nature-connected lifestyle.

Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in design collaboration, would like to have a chat, or have any questions! :)
