& Innovation Strategy Internship at Graft

My work at Graft was focused on a research-led design, data analysis process and support of the Design Management Institute’s first 'dmi:NightOut' event in Scotland, along with a supportive role in other projects. I was responsible for the research part and participated in the investigation of the size and scope of in-house design teams within Public Sector organisations in Scotland. As an outcome, Graft published the report ’Scotland’s Design Insiders' which can be found here: www.graft.global/insights

"Aleksandra recently graduated from the Innovation School at The Glasgow School of Art and started her internship with us in July to work on our recent research into the size and scope of the in-house design sector in Scotland. Following our Private Sector research, Aleks patiently and meticulously combed the Public Sector for design roles; with her research and analysis documented in our report, ‘Scotland’s Design Insiders’(www.graft.global/insights) which was launched at our first event to bring together the in-house design community.
Aleksandra successfully helped Graft chart new grounds. Her open and cheerful demeanour and optimistic can-do attitude will be sorely missed. Our loss is the Public Sectors gain as she recently started a new position as Service Designer at The Scottish Government. We wish her all the best!"

"I will remember my time at Graft as one of the best work experiences of my life. There were many reasons why, however, the biggest of them was the team itself. I had the pleasure of learning from experienced professionals who were also generous, honest and great people to work with. I think collaboration is a key to success and I am grateful I could experience it during my internship. A great start of my professional design career. Thank you, Graft team!”
