Goat Fell is the highest point on the Isle of Arran (874 meters / 2,866 ft). To get to the island you need to take a train or bus to Ardrossan Harbour and a ferry to Brodick. It says that Arran is ‘Scotland in miniature’. I totally agree with that! There are mountains on the north and meadows on the south side. From my experience, it is quite hard to experience a good weather at Arran and yes, better check it before if you want to see something!
